Searching for answers
The walls begin to close in
All of the doors disappear
I can not move
But I know I must
Suddenly Your hand reaches out to mine
I grasp it
And You pull me to the light


Returned
Locked in my room
Lights off
Windows shut
Sitting alone on the floor
Pictures bring back memories of another day
Another time
Smiling faces
They know no pain
They know not what I felt
What I have overcome
A world of hatred
Seas of unfriendly faces
I searched
Never finding
I remember those days
Love has returned
As a rush of water
I know this love
I embrace it.


Burst of Light
I'm lost with no guide
Wanding hopelessly
Alone, I cry with no shoulder
Dark corridor, I pull the handle
You are sitting, ready, like you knew
You are there exactly when I turn desperate
You listen and advise
Through the door, no longer darkness
Now light.
