Bohemia (Simon's poem for worship)
A place exists within this world
Where happiness is not a myth,
And cookie-cutter people do not monopolize
Success.
Beauty is not defined
By the Barbie-doll standard,
And you are not
Who you wear
In Bohemia.
We come together in tandem,
A symphony in colors.
Ou stories collide
To form a living rainbow.
Our hearts worn proudly
On our sleeves
We outpour our innermost
Hurt
In Bohemia.
We recreate the divine within
Using our hands, pens, voices.
The world is a blank canvas
We seek to fill with vibrant aspirations.
We paint out broken hearts,
Shattered dreams and lost friends,
The ones that couldn't make it this far.
But we also sing a new song of Hope
In Bohemia.
Our Metropolis-Nirvana,
Sweet promised land of freedom,
Where we live without labels.
They can't write our story for us.
Come freaks, come monsters,
Come geeks, come nerds,
Dorks outcast, goths and gays
Cast your old names away and be reborn
In Bohemia.
Some may think it an idealistic
Lie;
Beautiful, yet false.
We make it true.
Love is the message
That we preach, acceptance our sermon.
Unbounded by gender, race, or religion
Your love is not a sin.
I wish I could be...

Untitled Poem (Tyler's worship piece)
We create this world
it is falling apart
our darkness
is growing
light
don't make me laugh
it's gone
hate
is our weapon
love
is failing
this deadly war
will make us strong
living with others
is a horrible mistake
our violence
is all we want and need
peace
how could someone live like that
death
everyday
funerals
every night
And all this is true unless we recreate it
every night
funerals
everyday
death
how could someone live like that
peace
is all we want and need
our violence
is a horrible mistake
living with others
will make us strong
this deadly war
is failing
love
is our weapon
hate
it's gone
don't make me laugh
light
is growing
our darkness
it is falling apart
we create this world
every night
funerals
everyday
death
how could someone live like that
peace
is all we want and need
our violence
is a horrible mistake
living with others
will make us strong
this deadly war
is failing
love
is our weapon
hate
it's gone
don't make me laugh
light
is growing
our darkness
it is falling apart
we create this world

Renga 8
The darkest night sky
that has pin pricks of bright light
His love shining down
Stars tossed in patterns
their stories told in the sky
inspiring us
We gaze up above
Her constellation stories
a quilt that warms us
The darkness surrounds
hope is very far away
God is still smiling
Even in the dark
something holds us so safely
the sure hand of God
In the darkest height
God will reach out to us all
with the rays of stars
that has pin pricks of bright light
His love shining down
Stars tossed in patterns
their stories told in the sky
inspiring us
We gaze up above
Her constellation stories
a quilt that warms us
The darkness surrounds
hope is very far away
God is still smiling
Even in the dark
something holds us so safely
the sure hand of God
In the darkest height
God will reach out to us all
with the rays of stars
I want to Cry out (Poem by Kelly)
Around and around I go
Never in the same place twice
My life I must forgo
For it comes at too high a price
My parents do not see me
They see who they want me to be
No matter what I do
I’m not good enough for you
Now it is night
And I wander without light
Though people say its day
They are nothing but prey
Truths not spoken
The lies are now broken
I watch the humble bow
Take something that was not his now
The heat that fills me
Nearly kills me
For they do not know
How they are killing his show
Sadness, anger, hurt and pain,
Swirling though my brain
Hiding in from our lies
You lie in the rye
Now we must play
So I can show you the way
The game of catcher and the rye
Never in the same place twice
My life I must forgo
For it comes at too high a price
My parents do not see me
They see who they want me to be
No matter what I do
I’m not good enough for you
Now it is night
And I wander without light
Though people say its day
They are nothing but prey
Truths not spoken
The lies are now broken
I watch the humble bow
Take something that was not his now
The heat that fills me
Nearly kills me
For they do not know
How they are killing his show
Sadness, anger, hurt and pain,
Swirling though my brain
Hiding in from our lies
You lie in the rye
Now we must play
So I can show you the way
The game of catcher and the rye

Renga 7
God is everywhere
in the wind and in the trees
blowing endlessly
Across the ocean
reflecting God's great glory
in sunset palettes
Clouds of spun sugar
he reflects himself above
look up, there he is
Above in the clouds
he watches with warm, keen eyes
wind caresses him
Colors across the sky
showing God's inner beauty
splatters through our lives
Colors on canvas
paint out our inner stories
in ways words cannot
in the wind and in the trees
blowing endlessly
Across the ocean
reflecting God's great glory
in sunset palettes
Clouds of spun sugar
he reflects himself above
look up, there he is
Above in the clouds
he watches with warm, keen eyes
wind caresses him
Colors across the sky
showing God's inner beauty
splatters through our lives
Colors on canvas
paint out our inner stories
in ways words cannot
Renga 6
Water falling down
sparkling water shimmering
God is everywhere
It is always here
rain, ocean, lake, snow, river
it's living water
Reflecting water
shows us all God in ourselves
ever loving him
Cleansing me forever
rinsing out my impurities
and refreshing life
Showing me the way
following the path God made
I am never lost
Her voice guides me on
Mother, Father, Spirit, All
many names, one God
sparkling water shimmering
God is everywhere
It is always here
rain, ocean, lake, snow, river
it's living water
Reflecting water
shows us all God in ourselves
ever loving him
Cleansing me forever
rinsing out my impurities
and refreshing life
Showing me the way

Water rushes by
over the slippery stones
harmony is here
Burbling motions
flow endlessly around us
God's salutation
The greeting is warm
and makes our hearts swell with joy
a choir of love
Flowing gently down
seeping into our lives
filling us with hope
Lower the bucket
you will be thirsty no more
everlasting life
Even the small things
we work together for God
ripples the water
over the slippery stones
harmony is here
Burbling motions
flow endlessly around us
God's salutation
The greeting is warm
and makes our hearts swell with joy
a choir of love
Flowing gently down
seeping into our lives
filling us with hope
Lower the bucket
you will be thirsty no more
everlasting life

ripples the water
Words of Our Soul
V1
Our words have power, beginning to end.
The power to heal and the power to mend.
And words of compassion can build up this world.
While words of destruction can tear down the whole.
C
Our greatest power is the words of our soul.
Choose these words wisely, for you have control.
And God who is glory and found us in night,
broke down the darkness and said,
let there be light.
Let there be light.
V2
Our power comes from our God above.
Made our whole world and filled it with love.
And then God spoke the words of creation,
making the scripture our inspiration.
C
Our greatest power is the words of our soul.
Choose these words wisely, for you have control.
And God who is glory and found us in night,
broke down the darkness and said,
let there be light.
Let there be light.
B
In the Beginning was the word,
so watch your words and mind your mouth.
Say what's right and use God's might.

Say what's right and use God's might.

Renga 4
Walking up the trail
silence echoing in me
Hey, it's God calling
I stop and listen
enlightenment in these words
never seems to cease
Wonder at the words
calling me to be more than
I thought I could be
Even in silence,
He is there for me and you
speaking through the word
Telling words of joy,
peace, prosperity and love
He supports us all
All throughout the world
shining through all the people
He lives within us
silence echoing in me
Hey, it's God calling
I stop and listen
enlightenment in these words
never seems to cease
Wonder at the words
calling me to be more than

Even in silence,

speaking through the word
Telling words of joy,

Renga 3
Many worlds collide
in an artist colony
creative spirit
Art is everywhere
He is around, helping us
be more like ourselves
To show us the way
an expression from our soul
peace is an all art
Words speak out from us
like the eternal flame burns
telling our stories
Our stories are truth
His words are reality
from which we find hope
He gave us these gifts
to stop the flow of our sin
we tell them stories
in an artist colony
creative spirit
Art is everywhere
He is around, helping us
be more like ourselves
To show us the way
