RESIDING FEARS
I fear not death, for I have come to peace with the fact that I must go.
However, my fear resides in my death impacting the lives of those around me.
My faith survives not on proof and sight,
but rather on belief without seeing.
I want my life to be judged not by where I am when I die,
but the sacrifices made to get there.
With every breath I take,
I don’t fear it will be my last,
but I fear the amends not made if it is.
The dark does not frighten me,
but rather the absence of light.
A world with hatred does not scare me,
but instead,
a world vacant of love
